Children have the opportunity across the week to embed their maths knowledge through independent challenges. The use of maths resources in Y1 is key for their learning. We are also asking the children to take pictures of their own evidence of challenges, hence the quality of the pictures or lack of them - but they are getting much better. Building independence and perseverance is also a key aspect in Y1.
