Diya lamps!

This term we are looking at celebrations - who celebrates and how they celebrate. 

This week we are looking at Diwali and we started the week by finding out how Diwali is celebrated by Hindu's and we had a go at making Diya lamps!

We had some clay that we rolled into a ball, then we pushed our thumbs into the ball to make a hole (for our candle to go in). Next we added some sequins by pushing them into the clay. Now they are drying ready to see the finished result!

They do look fab!
