Cuckoos - Term 1 Week 2

What an incredible week we have had in Cuckoos - the children have worked so hard and should be so proud of themselves, we're definitely proud of them! Below are some photos of some of the things we have been up to this week: In Maths we started the week by sorting objects into groups and have then been counting objects (within 10) and showing these on ten frames. In English, we were given some clues about our new book 'The Dot' and made some fantastic predictions about what it would be about. We then created our own dot masterpieces, ready to describe next week! In Computing we went on a technology hunt around the classroom - there was so much technology around us! In PE, we played 'sticky toffee' and practised our dodging technique. Finally, today we read a poem about magic playdough:

"Magic playdough oh so white,

I wish this wish with all my might.

If a colour does appear,

We're sure to have a great year!"

We whispered a wish for the year into our playdough and then gave it a squish - we were amazed when the playdough began to change colour!
